Giants Baseball Analysis
In Progress – Using pybaseball and pandas to retrieve and transform MLB data. I am looking at the 2021 season of the San Francisco Giants and trying to understand how they tied a franchise record of 107 wins.
- Questions I’m answering:
- Did their veterans (such as Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt) play a significant role in the team’s success?
- Did the pitching staff improve compared to prior years and did that have an impact on their performance as a team?
- Were manager Gabe Kapler’s match-up based strategies used more than other teams and were they effective?

Cataloging Game Closet
- in this project I am going to work with bgg (board game geek) and their database to look at photos of my family game closet and identify them and extract relevant info from them. I am then going to put that info into a PostgreSQL database i will set up.
