Baseball Data Analysis
- pandas – python – pybaseball
- In Progress – Using pybaseball and pandas to retrieve and transform MLB data. I am looking at the 2021 season of the San Francisco Giants and trying to understand how they tied a franchise record of 107 wins. Link here to my project!
- Questions I’m answering:
- Did their veterans (such as Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt) play a significant role in the team’s success?
- Did the pitching staff improve compared to prior years and did that have an impact on their performance as a team?
- Were manager Gabe Kapler’s match-up based strategies used more than other teams and were they effective?
